Bookee Babies is comprised of dedicated individuals who believe helping others is vital. Our vow: to provide brand new shoes and hats to disadvantaged, homeless and indigent children whose families are struggling. Our goal is to network with other businesses, ministries, orphanages, and individuals through a world wide effort to purchase a pair of shoes for children around the world. Our goal is to make sure the United States and other countries receive the same fair treatment, which is love, along with our combo package of a pair of a brand new pair of new shoes and a hat. There are approximately 2 million homeless children in United States and a greater number in other countries. It is difficult for a child to function in school, or anywhere for that matter, with uncomfortable or unsuitable shoes. Providing a brand new pair of shoes can improve a child’s sense of self-worth and sense of purpose. New shoes are a delight for anyone, but for poor, less fortunate children, shoes are more than just dazzling…they are necessary for survival. Whether traversing tough unmarked paths or baking hot surfaces, these children have no protection and no relief from harsh foot wear and tear. An injury in these environments could spell serious foot infections, or even death. By giving a child a pair of shoes, you may literally be saving a life.
